Both did the Bristol 10k this morning.  Dave 45 mins and Fe 57 mins. Very pleased seeing there was minimum, well zero actually, training!

More pain next week, our jabs!

Tenant for house, tick

Get the champers out, we have a family for Mrytle Villa!   Ernst has been relocated from Toulouse by British Aerospace.  The family will be moving in on 7th June so we have exactly 4 weeks to move out.  Downend here we come!  Went to look at storage today, think 30sqft will be enough, the lady there seemed to think 3 boxes was enough for the average wardrobe, she was surprised to hear I had over 120 pairs of knickers!

Just the car and van to flog now!

She's now officially up for rent

Mrytle Villa has made the front page of the Evening Post letting section!  The hunt for a family to enjoy 108 begins.

RTW footwear test up Brown Willy

Staring down yet another wet Bank holiday we head off to Cornwall with the normal gusto with a plan of a gentle stroll out on Bodmin Moor. Out and back to the van in 5 odd hours, 11 miles later the new footwear seems to have delivered. No drama or blisters to report. Oooh that first pint felt good in the Blisland Inn.

Our first viewing

After a marathon amount of hoovering we had our first tenant viewing last night, not bad seeing the house isn't even on the market yet!


Received feedback from the agent ...........  it was not for them as the house is too nice!  Now that sort of feedback we certainly weren't ready for. Too nice, what, hmmmmmmmm !!

Visa's sorted..

We only needed one visa and that was for Vietnam.  We took our photos and sent off our cheque to the Vietnam Embassy - how could they refuse us lovely people entry into Vietnam!  The visas arrived through the post today. 

Rucksacks bagged.....

After a pretty mad week of work tonight we started rucksack trials with a personal shopping evening with our local high end mountain sports emporium, Brighams - for all your outdoor supplies http://www.ellis-brigham.com/) thanks Mark. The burning question is..... how is Fe going to fit a years worth of stuff into one rucksack!

Hooray, tickets are booked!

Following much communication with the Flight Centre, the tickets are a booked! Love it. We both felt a sense of calm once the 'button was pressed.'   Plenty more to sort out though - visas, jabs, insurance etc 

Can't seem to think about anything else but travelling. 160 days and counting.....

Getting closer

Just about to finalise our flights with the Flight Centre, its all seeming a bit more real now. 12 Destinations in 11 months!  Also had the letting agent round to talk about renting out 108. We are both yet to inform our employers we are off, its really hard to keep it a secret!
